If you weren’t at Molino del Santo from 7 til 8 on Friday night you missed a treat when Manni Coe from Toma tours talked about 4 Great Spanish painters.
Thought it was a REALLY excellent presentation – one of the best I’ve attended in a long time – a one hour talk that was one hour is a good start for me. It shows respect to the audience not to go over the agreed time span. Beyond that obsession of mine, Manni brilliantly blends really interesting information delivered in a really authoratitive way with being very real and human. He also gets just the right balance of humour with accessible – and for me – very motivating enthusiasm and intellectual thought. This guy is a gem – we need to find ways to get him and all of his positive energy to Molino as often as possible. I’ve been promising myself to do an Art History course for a long time – this talk and Manni’s expertise in his subject might be just the right blend of catalysts to get me to do it. Fascinating stuff and sincere apologies if you missed knowing about it – I did one post on FB last week and we sent out a newsletter. It could only be in English because, although he is bilingual, Manni didn’t want to do it in Spanish.
Hope you will be here for the next one – which we are planning to hold really soon.
