Hotel Parador, Ronda ****

The Parador de Ronda is the most popular hotel (and the most reserved by Ronda Today website visitors.) This is not just because it offers the same exceptional service as other Parador hotels, but because it is so centrally located, offering everything the experienced traveller demands.

Its location immediately adjacent to the Tajo gorge and Ronda’s iconic Puente Nuevo, is the reason this hotel is often fully booked. On the edge of the gorge, there are only a handful of hotels, and the Parador has the best vantage point. All guests of the hotel are able to enjoy drinks on the terrace patio, which is especially nice at sunset.

  1. The Paradro Hotel is fantastic on the edge of the cliff and from our balcon we could see the valley under Ronda. Our room was nice and very comfortable with toilet and a bath with shower, a large bed which is good for tall people, a tv, and the balcony had some small chairs and a table so we could enjoy the sunset. The breakfast in the hotel was excellent, and the staff at the front desk very knowledgeable about what to do in the city.

  2. My husband and I stayed at the Parador in April 2010, this was the second time we stayed there, the first time was over 10 years ago! This time we had a corner room with two balconies looking over the gorge and to the gazebo and bullring. We had dinner in the restaurant one night, it was raining and we didn’t feel like going out, but the staff in the restaurant really made it worth while and the cuisine was fantastic. If I remember correctly we had stewed bull tail, partridge, and roast kid. Our only complaint was the price of the parking, 20 euros per day, but we could have parked in the street if that had been a major problem. Overall I recommend the Parador and will be staying there again on our next visit.
