August 26, 2011September 28, 2009 by Clive Muir

Ronda’s annual tourism award in 2009 produced a couple of surprises, not least the award for producing a braille map of the tourist monuments

Welcome to one of Spain’s most visited cities — and with good reason. Ronda is a compact, walkable destination where everything is close at hand. From the moment you arrive, you’re just steps away from iconic sights like the Real Maestranza bullring, the Puente Nuevo and El Tajo gorge, the many beautiful churches, our museums, or the wonderful coffee shops and tapas bars, we have it all within a short 30 minute walk.

If you're only in Ronda for one day be sure to check out our audio guided tour Its a fantastic way to find the best places in Ronda and learn about some history. If you're likely to be here for two days or more, then our most popular walks include the walk to the Virgen de la Cabeza, or Mr Henderson's Railway Walk. And, of course the spectacular Natural Park of the Sierra de Grazalema.

But to really get the most out of Ronda, book a hotel, stay with us for a few days and immerse yourself into the City of Dreams. Read an introduction to Ronda here.
