The Grazalema Natural Park, in which the hotel is located is considered one of the most precious eco-systems of Andalucía, and is home to numerous endemic wild flowers and insects, as well as being a sanctuary for reptile and other fauna, and a major nesting or feeding area for migratory birds.
The El Horcajo’s grounds are well-kept and make an enjoyable place for lazy strolls. The hotel also has a solarium as well as a playground, and of course, large outdoor swimming pool. Guests can also try horseback riding, canoeing, diving, and cycling, and reception are able to help plan and book activities.
Rooms include comfortable double beds, en suite bathrooms, air conditioning and heating, and all have terraces from which guests can relax while enjoying the serene view around the hotel. There are also facilities and rooms at the hotel for disabled guests.
The hotel’s restaurant bar serves distinctly local flavors, and takes pride that all menu items follow traditional home cooking ideals, with some ingredients grown on the farm such as free range eggs.
