Hotel El Almendral in Setenil de los Bodegas
The hotel El Almendral is a great base for exploring Setenil, Ronda and the Sierra de Grazalema.

Setenil de las Bodegas is a little known though incredibly important part of the history of inland Andalucia, having been founded by the Romans from the nearby ruined city of Acinipo as a storage warehouse for wines and other products before shipment to the rest of the Roman empire. Visitors always marvel at homes, shops, bars and restaurants built directly into the rock, most of which have natural rock ceilings.
