Holiday Season Rain Worst Since 1947

December 2009 saw some of the worst flooding in the Serranía since 1947. In the Guadiaro Valley cars were submerged and roads blocked by landslips.

Ronda’s annual tourism award in 2009 produced a couple of surprises, not least the award for producing a braille map of the tourist monuments
