The bespoke El Gecko Hotel, just 50 metres from the railway station serving Cortes de la Frontera, in the tiny village of La Cañada del Real Tesoro, is a small haven of peace and tranquility with its own tree covered terrace and private pool for long lazy Andalusian summer days.

The Guadiaro river flows past at a sedate pace, and life is relaxed, the perfect place to unwind with friendly hosts who are able to offer advice about the area, things to do, places to see, restaurants to sample. Whilst a wee bit further from Ronda, the hotel’s proximity to the railway station means day trips to see Ronda’s monuments and enjoy coffee in Plaza Socorro is a breeze.
All eight of the double rooms at the El Gecko Hotel have en suite bathrooms, and are fitted with an air-conditioning system. In winter the central heating system keeps the entire hotel cozy and comfortable. Views from the rooms either overlook the poolside terrace or the mountains of the Serranía de Ronda.

The hotel’s bistro restaurant serves local modern European foods, and is a popular destination for local residents. A continental breakfast for guests is also provided and is either offered on the terrace in summer, or in the bistro on cooler days.
