An Indian film named ‘Zindagi Milegi Na Dobara’ starring big names from Bollywood including Hrithik Roshan, Abhay Deol, Farhan Akhtar, Kalki Keochlin and Katrina Kaif is currently being filmed in villages of the Serranía de Ronda, and scheduled for cinema release in December this year.
The film tells the story of four friends who decide to travel together, and is billed as a male bonding story and features travel to Spain, Greece, Turkey, Thailand, the UK, and India.
Movie goers in Ronda may have to order the film specially as there are currently no plans for the film to be screened outside of the normal Bollywood markets, though DVD copies will be available in Europe.
Villages featured in the film include Setenil and Atajate, and lead actress Katrina Kaif will no doubt forever remember her time here after getting lost in the mountains of the Serranía for several hours, and holding up filming for a day whilst film crews attempted to find her.
Katrina Kaif is a popular actress and has won numerous awards for her acting. Speaking to a correspondent from the Times of India, Katrina said she and her sister Isabelle are keen mountain enthusiasts, but the Serranía proved too much of a challenge without a map. The sisters were a little scared, but eventually managed to retrace their steps and met the rest of the crew as calls were being made to local police.
